Jesika Bourgeois is the Executive Fitness Specialist for JESIKAfit in the Los Angeles area, where she teaches fitness classes for Seniors, Healthy Adults, and Toddlers. She has taught hundreds of adults and children a variety of fitness related classes such as muscle sculpting, strength training, aerobics, and nutrition.
Jesika is a Certified Fitness Trainer who earned her certificate through the American Council on Exercise in 2005, and earned her Fitness Specialist Certificate through Glendale College in 2004.
Her history is a colorful one. She worked in the Food & Beverage industry for over 15 years, as a Design Coordinator on Location Based Entertainment for another 10 years, and she has been teaching fitness classes for the past five years.
Her education background is equally as varied, having attended The Culinary Arts Program (UCLA Extension) and subsequently studying Business Management (PACE). In addition to her work as a Fitness Specialist and ACE Certified Personal Trainer, she recently achieved her Master of Science degree in Health Sciences, with a concentration in Health Education, Summa Cum Laude from TUI University. Her next step in April of 2010 is to take the Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) exam, which is The National Commission for Health Education Credentialing. This will allow her to educate Americans across the nation in government, hospital, school, and corporate settings.
As an American/Persian/Armenian (married to a French-Canadian), Jesika takes great pride in having the ability to communicate with multiple cultures. Due to her cultural diversity, she is familiar with many cultural habits linked to Health and Fitness, which eventually led her to her passion, Physical Wellness.
